GSM Enterprises Limited, trading as GSM Cleaning Services, respects your privacy. This policy describes how we handle personal information collected through this website, through enquiries you send us, and in the course of providing our cleaning, hygiene, fumigation and gardening services.

GSM Enterprises Limited is a company incorporated in the United Republic of Tanzania in 2011, with its office at Josam House, Plot No. 10A, 2nd Floor, Coca Cola Road, Mikocheni Light Industrial Area, Dar es Salaam. We are the data controller responsible for the personal information described in this policy.

02Information we collect

We only collect information that we need in order to respond to you and deliver our services well.

Information you give us

• Your name, phone number and email address when you complete our quote form, call us, or message us on WhatsApp.
• The address or location of the premises to be serviced, and details about the space such as its size, layout or access arrangements.
• The service you are interested in and any specific requirements, preferences or instructions you share with us.
• Billing details, contract information and payment records where you become a client.

Information we collect automatically

• Basic technical data when you browse this website, such as your device type, browser, approximate location and the pages you visit.
• Information collected through cookies and similar technologies, as described in section 6.

Information collected during service delivery

• Service schedules, site attendance records and job completion reports.
• Fumigation records, including the chemicals applied, dates of treatment and safety instructions issued, which we keep as required for health and safety compliance.
• Feedback, complaints and correspondence relating to work carried out.

03How we use your information

• Prepare quotations and respond to your enquiries.
• Plan, schedule and deliver cleaning, hygiene, fumigation and gardening services.
• Assign and supervise our staff, and manage site access arrangements.

• Improve our services and this website, and — where you have agreed — send you occasional service updates or offers.

04Privacy on your premises

Our work takes our teams into offices, homes and secure facilities. We treat everything our staff see there as confidential.

• Every team member is vetted before employment and completes an internship period before being assigned to a client site.
• All staff sign confidentiality undertakings covering documents, equipment, conversations and anything else observed while on your premises.
• Our teams do not read, copy, photograph or remove client documents or property, and do not discuss client sites outside the company.
• Keys, access cards, alarm codes and similar credentials entrusted to us are recorded, issued only to named supervisors, and returned when a contract ends.
• Photographs of a client site are only taken and used for marketing with the client’s prior written permission.

05Sharing your information

We share personal information only where it is necessary, and only with:

• Our own employees and supervisors who need it to carry out the service you have requested.
• Service providers who support our operations, such as our website host, email provider and accounting or payroll systems.
• Government authorities and regulators where we are legally required to provide information, including OSHA, NEMC, the Tanzania Revenue Authority, NSSF and the Workers Compensation Fund.
• Professional advisers such as auditors or lawyers, where required and under a duty of confidence.

Where a provider processes data on our behalf, we require them to protect it and to use it only for the purpose we have specified.

06Cookies and website analytics

This website uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working properly and to help us understand how visitors use it — for example, which services people look at most.

No system can be guaranteed completely secure. If a breach occurs that is likely to affect your rights, we will act promptly to contain it and notify you and the relevant authorities where the law requires.

08How long we keep your information

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy. Enquiries that do not lead to a contract are normally deleted within twelve months. Client contracts, invoices, tax records and health and safety records — including fumigation records — are retained for the periods required by Tanzanian law, after which they are securely destroyed.

09Your rights

Subject to Tanzanian law, including the Personal Data Protection Act, you may:

• Ask what personal information we hold about you and request a copy of it.
• Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
• Ask us to delete information we no longer have a lawful reason to keep.
• Object to, or ask us to restrict, certain uses of your information.
• Withdraw consent to marketing messages at any time, without affecting the services you receive.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We will respond as promptly as we can, and normally within thirty days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Commission of Tanzania.

10Children’s privacy

Our services are directed at businesses and adult householders. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

11Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, technology or the law. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Where changes are significant, we will make this clear on our website or notify clients directly.
